MOT's are the Ministry of Transport tests conducted annually on all road cars over 3 years old; these are done to prevent accidents from poorly maintained cars and keep the roads as safe as possible. MOT's may be taken up to 4 weeks before the expiry of your previous MOT and preserve the anniversary of your MOT.

Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Smart, Porsche, VW 

Up to four weeks can be added to your new MOT from the unexpired time from your previous MOT. Please arrange for your car to undergo an MOT pre-inspection within the month leading to its expiry to avoid disappointment.

The end of the calendar month is also the busiest time for MOT stations due to the Road Tax expiring at this time. The First Two weeks of the month are usually best to ensure an MOT and avoid driving an uninsured vehicle.
